STEM Career: Park Ranger

Park rangers oversee, preserve, and protect local, state, and national places of natural or historical significance. Responsibilities can include safety, education, trail building, plant and tree protection, and education programs. They also oversee the maintenance of the park and facilities, prepare budgets, watch for fires or other dangers, and protect animal residents.
